It was for the very
first time in the history of Sulu Provincial Athletic Association Meet where
Mohammad Tulawie Central School, the always-title-holder champion in tennis
girls was defeated last November 11, 2017. Tennis Girls championship title for
SPAAM 2017 represented by golden trophy was issued by the Sulu Provincial
Governor Representative and assisted by the DepED-Sulu Division PESS (Physical
Education and School Sports) Coordinator, Mr. Alnasir I. Said to the four
victorious winners of Kasambuhan Village Elementary School, Indanan South
District, Indanan, Sulu. Awarding of the trophy was done in the closing program
of SPAAM 2017 held at Sulu Provincial Sports Complex, Captiol Site, Patikul,
Sulu last November 11, 2017.
Kasambuhan Village Elementary
School, Km. 4, Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu is the nearest school of Indanan South
District to Jolo District composed of Jolo I, Jolo II, Jolo III and Jolo IV
that make Jolo Delegation every SPAAM of the year. Nur-aisha A. Gonzales is the
principal of the school. Before SPAAM 2015, Samoore S. Ladjahali, the Public
Schools District Supervisor of Indanan South District talked with the principal
how Kasambuhan Village Elementary School came up with tennis boys and girls
sports events to SPAAM without selection in the Indanan South District Meet in
so far as no existing tennis events coming from all units is concerned. The
principal agreed with the advice of PSDS. She organized the tennis events with
the supports of her teachers and school sports coordinator. Finally, Indanan
South District received two trophies in SPAAM 2015 and one of it was honored to
tennis event. The district, through the tennis athletes of Kasambuhan Village
Elementary School continued obtaining trophy from SPAAM until 2016.
Surprisingly, Kasambuhan Village
Elementary School rose to fame in SPAAM 2017 when she bagged the crown of
championship title put off from Mohammad Tulawie Central School by the young
winners representing Indanan South District tennis girls, namely: 1. Khadijia
I. Alpha; 2. Fatty Maye I. Haiber; 3. Duresa H. Abdusaid; and 4. Czariza Gwen N
Jadjuli.
The teachers of Kasambuhan
Village Elementary School are so concerned with the physical education and
school sports of their learners. Their interest are evident in their children
especially those teachers having sons or daughters officially enrolled in
Kasambuhan Village Elementary School. For instance, Duresa H. Abdusaid is the
eldest daughter of Mrs. Karna H. Abdusaid, Teacher I assigned in said school.
Czariza Gwen N. Jadjuli is the eldest daughter of Mrs. Marlene N. Jadjuli who
is also Teacher I of Kasambuhan Village Elementary School. Both teachers’
daughters are members of the Top 5 in the prospective graduating class. The
face-to-face interview was conducted to these two winners.
Duresa H. Abdusaid, 11 years of
age replied that she would aim to pursue her studies so that would become more
successful in life. Her dream is to take up accountancy in the near future.
Czariza Gwen N. Jadjuli answered
that she would like to follow her Mom’s footstep . . . teacher. She wanted to
help young innocent souls in reading, writing and counting numbers correctly.
Her father is also a volunteer teacher in Kasambuhan Village Elementary School.
He is Mr. Ibnohajar M. Jadjuli.
Both tennis girls’ players are
now excited for their journey to ARMMAA (Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao
Association Meet) 2018 that will be conducted at Upi, Maguindanao from February
10-17, 2018. They are expected to be with the same coach, Mrs. Karna H.
Abdusaid to represent DepED-Sulu Delegation in tennis girls to said ARMMAA.
They are not just hoping for another title in ARMMAA; rather; they wish they
could step on the soil of Palarong Pambansa 2018.

District announced in Timbangan Elementary School Gym last December 21, 2018
during his closing remarks for the 4-Day District Enhancement Seminar Workshop
Clinic and Accreditation for Coaching and Officiating that he had already
conducted meeting with all school administrators for the implementation of the
program, ‘Barya para sa Atletang ARMMAA’. The program should be initiated by
every SPG (Supreme Pupil Government) of the schools in support to the
participation of tennis girls’ players in the upcoming ARMMAA 2018.
